Derwentside Homes Limited
Derwentside Homes Limited has recently appointed Elvet Consultants to produce several tender documents on their behalf to deliver a range of projects, as follows:
- Replacement of existing roof covering and associated works to 476 properties.
- Wall tie replacement to 702 properties.
- Repairs/strengthening to existing roof structure to 115 properties.
- Refurbishment of existing flat roofs to a number of sheltered accommodations and houses.
Due to the successful delivery of the above commission Elvet have been awarded a further twelve months work to provide contract administration and quantity surveying services on an existing decent homes project valued at £19m, which is due for completion within the next calendar year in addition to the above contracts.
The Gateshead Housing Company
The Gateshead Housing Company is an Arms Length Management Organisation (ALMO) responsible for all housing managements services, repairs and maintenance and decent homes investment programmes on behalf of Gateshead Council.
Elvet were appointed to review a number of repairs and maintenance invoices submitted by the housing companys strategic repairs and maintenance provider to establish the legitimacy of the claims in accordance with the partnering agreement.
Aqua Consultants
Aqua Consultants are water sector specialists offering a range of cost management, project management and design services. Elvet were engaged to provide cost management support to help deliver key commissions for a local water authority.

Sedgefield Borough Homes
Sedgefield Borough Homes was established in March 2009 following a stock transfer from Sedgefield Borough Council. A housing Association and charitable industrial provident society and registered provider with the Tenant Services Authority.
Elvet Consultants were responsible for the introduction of an asset management strategy covering all housing stock throughout the Durham area.
